In this final round of Cat Detective, I’m putting the cat detector up against images of wildlife.
Family of Foxes
Failure! 0 cats in the source image, but 3 identified during the analysis.

Mountain lion cubs
Failure! 2 cats in the source image, but 12 identified during the analysis. The texture in the wood's bark and cubs' fur likely caused the confusion.

Otter
Failure! 0 cats in the source image, but 1 identified during the analysis. Sorry, this otterly ridiculous.

Grizzly Bear
Success! No cats in the source, none detected.

Sheep
Failure! 0 cats in the source image, but 1 identified during the analysis. Baaaah, this can't be right.

Baboons
Success! No cats in the source, none detected.

Next Steps
That’s all for Cat Detective, for the near term. Next I will be focusing on finishing the next chunk of OpenCV tutorials and then on to applying this knowledge to building a facial recognition library from the volumes of personal photos.
